I appreciate you taking the time to explain to me why you enjoy the series. Your description of the rest of the series is exactly what I was hoping to have happen, so I'm now more motivated than before to give the second book a try. Thank you! :)Angie @ Beneath the Jackethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07149735395781759243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4720546744149175693.post-46422503894276815082012-01-19T16:05:48.559-05:002012-01-19T16:05:48.559-05:00I like that you're being so critical in this r...I like that you're being so critical in this review. I'm a huge fan of this series, but I definitely agree with some of the points you made here. I felt the same frustration as you that things weren't being explained, and then Wendy was being yelled at for things she had no concept of.

I hope you stick with the series because the world-building grows more complex and fascinating. You learn more about Troll magic and it's limitations. Tove and Wendy's mother become much more interesting characters by the third book. Also the social and political dynamic within the kingdom and with other kingdoms is revealed and really adds a layer of complexity that I wasn't expecting from a paranormal romance.

Thanks for a great review!
Lauren @ Hughes ReviewsLHugheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07447464817875756643noreply@blogger.com
